Our solitary retreat facilities
Guhyaloka hosts three beautifully located solitary chalets, each with
a subtly different character of its own. These are called Dharsendo, Almendra
and Jnanakhadga,
All of the chalets have a water supply, a gas stove for cooking, a bed
and bedding, and we supply you with a variety of vegetarian food for you
to cook.
| The newest of the three chalets, Jnanakhadga (‘Sword of Wisdom’),
is spacious with a shaded patio area. Backing up against the pine
woods it overlooks Moorish terraces thick with gorse, flowers and
wild rosemary, and faces a breath-taking view of the towering valley
walls. |
 |
| Dharsendo is located in the most elevated position of the chalets
and offers beautiful, expansive views down the valley towards the
sea. This hut is a favourite location of many that return to Guhyaloka
year after year. |
 |
| Set deep in the pine woods that fill the valley, this chalet is
the most secluded of the three locations. Built within an old corale
Almendra gives a timeless sense of having existed as long as the hills.
