2010 Working Retreat

We have just finshed the 2010 working retreat. During the month of February about fifteen men from the UK, Belgium, Germany, Spain and the United States joined the community for a week or more to help with the work at Guhyaloka, and at the same time to enjoy a retreat here in the mountains.  We had a program of meditation, study and puja and each morning we worked together for four hours.

One team worked on managing the forest, which involved clearing up some of the damage caused to the trees by the winter storms, and thining out some of the pines.  Another team renovated the Upper Spring and covered the Water Tank so that we we will hopefully be able to use the water for drinking.  To our surprise once the work was finished the tank which hold enought water for a year filled in one day!  Some of us worked on the new house and land at El Collau which was particularly beautiful when the blossims came out at the end of the month. We also started on a patio outside El Morer to make the place more comfortable.
